Pool time!
We found a fun pool center that is pretty close to our house. Since Curtis had the day off, we decided to go swimming this afternoon.
Haha, they are making the same face!
She really liked the water this time, the last few times we went swimming she hated it!
She even liked to go under the water (although her facial expression here says otherwise)
Surfboard-dad!

I think she looks like a little old sunbathing lady here, so cute!
Ready to go home.

Silly girl!
Going along with the theme of most of my blog posts so far, this one is about Riah and a couple of the cute/funny things she's done in the past few days that I happened to take pictures of.

When she woke up from her nap the other day, she lined up the stuffed animals in her crib behind the headboard. When I came in to get her she pointed at them and started giggling, so funny!
We bought a betta. Riah loves her new fish - she really enjoys watching him swim and eat and do other fish things. I think his name is going to be Monty, I asked Riah what we should name him and what she said sounded like "Monty" - although it could've easily been "monkey" - *shrugs*
She also likes to wash her hands/face in the sink. She can finally reach it with her stepping stool. The face she is making here cracks me up.
And here she is "helping" momma do dishes.

Words!
Riah is starting to use 2 words at a time such as "apple juice", "charlie('s) food", "momma('s) shoe", "thank you", she even says "i love you" and sometimes will sign it. She loves animals and plants and being outside. It makes me wish that we had our backyard finished so that she had a place to play with plants and rocks and grass. It's just a whole lot of dirt right now. I want to start my vegetable garden after the really bad heat lets up, maybe I can get her to help with digging and other garden stuff.
I can't believe she's 20 months old today!

Dance Dance Riahlution
I've been using DDR as a way to workout for the past couple of weeks. Riah likes to dance on it too, and sadly is better than her momma at it.
First post!
So, I guess this is a good place to post about what is happening in our lives these days.Curtis and I have been married for almost 4 years now - I really enjoy being married to him, we have lots of fun.
We have a wonderful 19-month-old daughter named Sariah who is constantly learning things and saying new words. - We love being parents!
We purchased our first home a month ago and have been busy painting and decorating it ever since.

Around the time that we bought our house, we were given Charlie - a cute black chihuahua/jack russel mix (who can't sit still so I can get a good picture of him, obviously.) Riah adores him and they like to follow each other around the house.
Curtis is a General Manager with Wendy's and he is enjoying the experience of running his own store. I stay at home with Riah at the moment, and am waiting to get into nursing school. I am not sure when I will get in, but that's okay because I have a few things that I want to accomplish before I am busy with school again.
